
Christine Vera, BSN, RN, CCRN is a behavioral health registered nurse residing in New York City. She received her Bachelor in Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida with a minor in Psychology in 2014. She returned to school to pursue her Bachelor in Nursing at Long Island University/Brooklyn, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and was bestowed the 2019 Esther Siegel Leadership Award for developments in student leadership, education, and research.
After graduating nursing school, Christine Vera developed her skills as a nurse on a medical-surgical unit. She then refined them in the neuroscience intensive care unit, whose team was recognized as the 2022 Team Daisy Award winner. Most recently, Christine Vera was selected as a 2024 Joy in Nursing panelist and acknowledged as a 2024 Truly Awards nominee for her service as the Collaborative Care Council Chair for inpatient psychiatry where she advocates for workplace safety and violence prevention.
Presently, Christine Vera attends the City University of New York/Hunter in pursuit of her Masters in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. When she is not at work or in school, she loves to read, write, and attend yoga, barre, and Pilates classes. Current ventures include learning how to cook and hip hop dance.
